BHIM has developed a six-hour apologetic seminar to prepare college students to share Christ with their peers. Understanding others’ questions about Christianity and answering those questions with gentleness and respect is emphasized.

To evaluate the seminar these students took a pretest and posttest. They answered 10 questions on a 10-point scale, with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest. The results of the pretests and posttests are compared above to measure the students’ increase or decrease in their confidence about sharing Christ. The questions, average pretest and posttest scores, and variance are given below. The scores have been converted to a 100-point scale. Student confidence increased in every area, averaging a 12.0 % increase.

I have some concrete understanding of other worldviews ... and how I can share the truth with them.  Angie Jones
I learned answers to specific questions I have heard before and had not known the answers to. I feel prepared to give an answer to any question about the hope that I profess.

Under Development

BHIM® is unique in that it ministers primarily to college students in the area of Christian apologetics.

Bob Hartman is developing a third Christian apologetics seminar for college students. The new seminar, which will deal with postmoderism, is scheduled to be released in the Fall of 2009.

"The seminar," explained Dr. Hartman, "will prepare Christian college students to successfully deal with the challenges of agnosticism and postmodernism. It will not only deal with postmoderism as we encounter it day, but will show its historical roots."

This seminar will deal with such philosophers as David Hume and Immanuel Kant. However, these thinkers will be presented in terms that relate to and that are clearly understood by lay people of the Twenty-First Century.
